    Default how to remove motor out of 97 civic

    how do we remove the old motor out we have a hoist just need to know the steps thanks
    Wtb 96-00 civic aftermarket struts asap

    undo three mounts....connect hoist....lift out....

    If you cant figure out how to get it out, its alot harder going back in...

    disconnect the following: harness, hoses, fuel lines, shift linkage, and mounts...now pull it out..repeat steps in reverse order to install...its like playing with legos its really easy

    werd...i thought i was missing something there..you would think as many times as i have done swaps i would have rembered that part!!!

    lift the car with the hoist, not the engine. Honda engines go out the bottom easier than the top.
