    My E30 had something like that. It always seems to look better on cars that are really squared off. Like somebody mentioned previously, it flares out on cars that are rounded and looks kind of awkward. I've been thinking about getting a real lip for my Miata but can't justify spending $150 for a part that'll get ripped off and mangled on our wonderful Atlanta roads.

    Go cheap, it'll have the same effect, and you won't be puckered up every time you go over a bump or into a parking lot waiting for the crunch.

    True!

    You could always make the HD lip, then fiberglass over it to make a shell, sand accordingly, make sure it fits good, then spray it with a dark rhino lining so its gets some solidity to it
