    Exclamation 4G63 Motor/Tranny:: Where to buy?

    so here's the deal.

    my bro just got home and we got a 1994 eclipse GS sitting in the guesthouse garage. we need a new motor/tranny for it .

    can anyone name some shops and phone #'s so we can buy them? I need some places around atlanta or whatever.

    any help would be appreciated.

    we're looking for an automatic transmission with a 4G63 motor.

    i have 2 1990 1g eclipses, (i'm not sure if 94 is 1g or 2g *shrug) one's a gs, one's a gsx, both turbo, either one can be fixed with the parts from the other, the gs, has bad top end but runs at the moment, the gsx had bad bottom end and it's apart, fully built head, stage 3 cams, alcohol plumbed etc etc, pm me with contact info, if you're interested. either way if you wanted to do a 5 speed conversion i have everything you need. take care,

    I will go on DSM tuner.com for thse items. Look in the classified section. Also most would tell you if your car is n/a don't even bother trying to do the swap, it cheaper to just buy a GST orGSX that turboed already. GoodLuck.

    i'm not goign to pay ridicilious shipping. i'll just pick it up, anywhere in Georgia. and i am not going to take apart a car and put it together from one of your cars. that's too much work.

    i just need a business around atlanta that does engine sale. i know of Engine Line in Marietta but they're out of eclipse motors.

    anyone know any other businesses?

    you can try jhot, jarco, best japanese, i was talking to jhot recently about a turbo 6 bolt (1g) 4g63, engine only was like 13-1400 i forget, not rediculous though, my gsx just needs another stock block, the head and everything else just has 60 miles on it, the head alone has over a grand in it, so it's worth the uuuuuber tedious task of removing the valve cover and loosening the head bolts..........anywho, just trying to help, i'll get the gsx running soon and just sell the whole shabang, was making 300whp before alcohol injection on the crapola turbo. 60 miles though before he popped the new set up.....i wanna say "BREAK IN PERIOD" lol, anywho i have 2 cars sitting here, one runs, if there's anything i can do to help, lemme know. good luck

    is it the 1g's or 2g's that require a shitload of extra work to fit a 4g63 into if it originally was not a turbo car?

    i wanna say it was 1g's, in that case ditch the car and get yourself a 2g

    JHOT's stuff is usually really good. I live like 10min from them, my buddy's wife works there, and my wife used to work there. They're good peeps. Most of the 4G63s they get are 7-bolts. UNLESS they came from a Galant VR4. That's a 6-bolt that will be a direct swap for a 1G.

    And MR.org, the NA 2G is the one that's a pain in the ass to swap a 4G63T into, because it came with a 420A Neon engine. The NA 1Gs either came with 4G93 or 4G63s...both of which are easy to switch with a 4G63T.

    ahhh..thanks, i knew it was one or the other, lol, i stopped playing w/ dsm's after figuring out that every time you play with it something breaks, i had mine 2 years, it saw the track twice, i broke wheel bearings, carrier bearings, driveshaft once, u joints, snapped countless bolts off while doing this and that....finally traded it for a gsr

    there is a member on here...i believe 1 sick gt is his sn, selling a 2nd gen 7 bolt for like 450 bucks...so hit him up...i have tons of 2g stock parts from my 95 gsx that i turned into a 1300hp drag car with the help of magnus motorsports...but now the car is gone so i have tons of parts laying around so let me know if yuo need anything

    Try Tiger Japanese. They're in Canada but they have good rates on shipping and you'll be hard pressed to find cheaper motors.

    I have the full swap you are looking for it is a 6bolt with auto tranny. It is in a 93 gst. can sell motor and tranny or whole car, let me know.
