Manual trans, There is a fill, and a drain plug on the right hand side (passenger side) by where the axel splines go into the tranny. The drain plug is round with a square hole ( 3/8th's drive ratchet works great). The fill plug is up and toward the firewall it is a 17mm bolt, take it out. A good way to check is to stick your pinky in there and feel if the fluid is at the level.

If thats too much trouble Drain it all, and add about 2qt's .
