    would a clogged cat cause the check engine light to come on?

    possibly if it's obd2 for catalyst efficiency or secondary o2...probably less likely for obd1 or obd0.

    what code are you getting?

    a clogged cat will also make ur car run like crap. It will have severe back pressure. Now, if it is a clogged cat u can do damage to the motor. So def figure out what the code is or if ur cat really is clogged.
