95 gsr problem

my wifes car, when she turns it on, goes to 3k rpms, holes for a second and then drops down to regular, then it goes back up.........and it continues doing so the entire time runnin

i checked all vac line all are good, fuel pressure is ok, does this sound like it may be burn'd up coil in dizzy??????

isnt there a lil screw you can adjust on the throttle body?

see i was lookin for that cause on my d16 i had the same problem and thats what it was but i couldnt find it......i didnt look real hard i'll give it another shot tonight

Same thing on my girls Ls integra but hers goes to 2k-3k when started and after it warms up it drops down to normal.

ya i'm going to by-pass the fast idle valve when i get home ans see if that works

Sounds like the fast idle valve to me. Just hold your finger over the hole just in front of the throttle plate and see if it idles normally, if it does then replace the fast idle valve under the TB.

ya it was the fast idle valve, and it's fixed thanx ia for gettin my wife off my ass
