I can see that being a legitimate issue. Kind of like how you have to use ATF in Nissan power steering pumps. But if some dumbass put regular power steering fluid in it years ago, all you gotta do is replace a pump. If someone mixes coolant types in a GM (according to your explanation)....the damage can be much more significant.
