Thats at the crank though. If you want to talk crank hp my na sr has 200-210
Ok if ka24de CAME turboed from the factory like a sr I wonder what the hp was. See sr has a turbo and made for a turbo, ka arnt turbo and arnt made for turboing. So like I said I wonder if it came turboed and made for it what it would put down.Originally Posted by TheSnail

The reason Dex-cool has ever been an issue was because when you mix standard coolant and dex-cool, it won't cause any issues. If you pay attention and use dex-cool and only dex-cool, I have never seen any issues. I worked at a kauffman tire for 2 years, and and oil change plce for another 2, always doing coolant flushes, never seeing any issues. Thats just a small group of people who had an issue, maybe .001$ of all GM's sold, and found someting to blame it on, thats why GM will never come out and say there was ever an issue. Mixing is the problem, not Dex-cool alone.

If you let Dex-Cool get low at all (ie air in the system) it will also cause it to turn to mud.Originally Posted by EmotorsportsE
I can see that being a legitimate issue. Kind of like how you have to use ATF in Nissan power steering pumps. But if some dumbass put regular power steering fluid in it years ago, all you gotta do is replace a pump. If someone mixes coolant types in a GM (according to your explanation)....the damage can be much more significant.Originally Posted by EmotorsportsE

Very true, but still I think it was a bad idea considering it was pretty mainstream to just run to the store and buy some antifreeze when its needed. The average person never knew.....Originally Posted by EmotorsportsE
