Stop forcing your Mazda nonsense on us! We like pistons, damnit!
lol
what happens if the apex seals blow , hypnotoad
i can blow up piston engine just as fast as a rotary
yea but its easier to rebuild the piston engine
fuck rebuilding, just pop a new one in
yeah cause were all ballin like that
a 13BT is only like $1k
Simple power equation. more valve area = more power.Quote:

Its also one of the easiest swaps I have ever performed. You can even upgrade or even stroke the bottom end for less than $2k.
Then theres the power under the curve (torque), which is always great. Imagine what you could do with a boosted one?

yeah but its american FUCK THAT
For around the same you could have 400hp, 30+ mpg, working dash, working AC, working PS, stock reliabilty, and an 11 second capable car.Quote:

Not bashing on the SR (it is a great swap), just pointing out some things about the LS1 swap.
Whats that got to do with anything? Arent you also?:lmfao:Quote:

It was SOOOOO fun to fly around those cones, and be able to steer it with the gas pedal. I <3 my SR.
Why do you not trust thier reliability? GM's engine reliability has been proven over and over and easily tops most others, especially when it comes to V8's. Of course they like all manufacturers have had their bad apples, but overall they are one of the top for reliability. The small block chevy has been the longest running design over ALL other engines, and it was designed in the early 50's. Granted nowhere near the most efficient motor, but to say they arent reliable is just not true. No offense, but it sounds as though you just dont know much about them.Quote:

Great now I feel like a GM fanboy.
I <3 my SR too!

Like power steering pumps going out before 40,000mi. Random A/C parts starting to leak refrigerant. Glass windows separating from convertible tops. I know these things aren't really related to the LS1 itself...but it all just makes me want to stay the hell away from anything GM.
Now, if someone offered me an FD powered by either a 13B or a LS1...I'd probably take the LS1! But that's another story entirely.
Just like TheSnail said...that's at the CRANK. On a dyno, a stock KA will put down 130whp if it's healthy. Take in mind I saw a S14 with a catback and intake make 130whp. I've seen a SOHC KA put down 99whp.Quote:

Thats just a small group of people who had an issue, maybe .001$ of all GM's sold, and found someting to blame it on, thats why GM will never come out and say there was ever an issue. Mixing is the problem, not Dex-cool alone.

Ok if ka24de CAME turboed from the factory like a sr I wonder what the hp was. See sr has a turbo and made for a turbo, ka arnt turbo and arnt made for turboing. So like I said I wonder if it came turboed and made for it what it would put down.Quote:

If you let Dex-Cool get low at all (ie air in the system) it will also cause it to turn to mud.Quote:
