    Default ? mk4 Jetta Lowering

Just some suggestion on a drop from people who have done it or know about this particular car. I want a decent drop but not sure on how much to lower it without it being too much. The car has 17in long beaches on it now with 225 45 17 in tires all around, any help is appreciated Im a newbie to volkswagens

I would definitely say do coilovers. The vmax coilovers are fairly popular for GTI's/Jetta's and only cost $600. They can make the car much lower, and you can adjust them as you like so I would go with those.

I had tokico illuma shocks w/ H&R race springs on my 03, same effect as above, plus great ride and adjustable shocks.

^^ Thats what I had on my gti was the H&R CupKit. I loved the ride but wish it was alittle lower, I think they come with the Sport Spring, I wanted the Race Springs, but oh well. The front is a Bi**h to change, the rear is really simple. Good luck with whatever u get!

For my H&R CupKit I think I paid around $700.00 Brand New! I have to try and remember where I bought it.

$700 for a cup kit, that's excessive. Coilovers FTW.
