The general concensus among most tuners is that as long as you limit the high-rev boost (something like be below 16psi by 6000 revs) you'll have a safe happy reliable motor.

The motors will take a lot of boost in the midrange but the rings and seals cannot take the stress added with the higher revs also.

Like Matt said, if you're going with a small bolton turbo you'll be fine but with anything really above 300whp you are going to drastically cut the life out of your engine.
