Default What Brake Pads Do you Rock?

what kind of brake pads is everyone using? looking for something different and if its cheaper and performs ans last longer than OEM pads.

The ones in my EM1 needs replacing. Appreciate the insight.

I was thinking of Hawk HPS or AEM. I just have the standard brake system. Nothing fancy

The cheap route is Duralast Gold *ceremic* from Autozone for $36 w/lifetime warranty + unlimited replacements...but then again its autozone...not sure if they are good

Hawk. Unless you have an OEM rotors do the oem pads. But you are going to need to replace the rotors too. More than likely you have been doing some high speed breaking(I say that cause you are looking for performance too.) On those rotors, and there is some heat cracking starting to form I bet.

rotors are still good but i may just pick up some oem ones for $41 and call it a day then order a set of hawks + brembo or powerslot rotors to go with them

if I do get new rotors do i need to have them resurfaced before i pop them on?

EBC Greens and Reds suck for cars. I've run both. Hawk is all you need on a car - just pick the right compund.

EBC makes some good bike pads though. I use them on both of my bikes.

Smart man!! Thats all I run on the motocross track. I only have stock rotors and shit on my car. Infact that's all I've ever had. Duralast ftw! lol

Eventually I'll spoil myself with some steel braid lines and better brakes. Til then...I wait haha

I've got the Hawk HPS. Brake feel isnt much better than stock but they brake a lot harder as you get down on the pedal. They definately fade a lot less than stock. No squeeking and about the same dust level as stock.

Be sure to bed your new brake pads in properly if you want them to last a while and have max performance.

    Go big or go home.

Endless or Project Mu pads. You can choose their lowest line: Endless Vita Nuova or Project Mu NS.
