Default what to do with the D15b7

So I have this complete D15b7 with tranny. Was trying to sell it and have had some interest but it's been nearly two years. I took the engine out because I was putting in about 3-4 qts. every 5-7 days. No blue smoke coming out tailpipe however the oil was pouring out of the exhaust pipe and unto the back bumper, trunk and tail lights. So I figure either the piston rings or oil rings are gone and the motor needs rebuilding. One of my dreams has always been a turbo D, which has been spurred on by ScttyDB , and please no comments about b engines. I want something very mild so I thought maybe rebuild with oem parts. Probably will have to had the block bored slightly maybe .010 or .020 and also have the head ported. I would actually like to do everything myself, it's a project. and then piece together a HMT set-up really small. I have a CB7H22 right now but I miss my Civic. How difficult is it to rebuild a head and what type of cost am I looking, generally, for a shop to bore the block and level the deck as well as having head work. Please share.

Do it! D series builds FTMFW! Throw a Y8 or Z6 IM on there as well don't use the stock IM.

I really like that set-up . I was definitely going to use the HF manifold and adaptor plate. I only want to run about 6-8 psi, even though I have learned from ScttyDB that with the proper A/R mixture I can run 12-14 psi. I want to keep the set-up kinda stealth so even though the SMIC is small I believe I will use that intercooler. I believe it should hold up as long as I don't go above 12psi, which is I belive what the wastegate is set up for on the DSM's. More, more.

you know the more I look at your 4dr. the more I likes. I might have to look for a 4dr. instead of the 2dr. I had.

Did you do all the work yourself d16. I figure I can take my time with the rebuild of the engine since I have always wanted to rebuild just one engine. Do you still have the turbo d because I would like to see it when I finish the H22 in the Accord.

I appreciate the help. Once I finish the Accord swap I will bring the motor and tranny back to the house and tear everything down.

If you are going to build the engine, you can get Vitara pistons for cheap and get some aftermarket rods. Look on http://www.d-series.org/ for a lot of info. You could also talk to the user Halfwit on here, he knows a lot about the d-series.

I'm really interested in the D-Series and I've heard nothing but good things about the vitara pistons while I've been reading up on the d-series websites. It also seems like the main weakness in the D-series is the rods.
