    Default HELP 1991 TEG

i was cruising down the interstate and I down shifted to pass. When I did the car lunges violently, it would pull and cut out then pull and cut out. I put it back in 5th and everything was normal for about 3-4 minutes and then it started to do it agian in 5th. Well I kept downshifting b/c I was loosing speed, it finally got down to a crawl. I pushed in the clutch and it cut off. I was still rolling so I poped the clutch and it started right up and didnt give me a problem the rest of the night. WHAT THE HELL COULD IT BE??????
    ANY HELP WILL BE APPRICIATED!!!
    Thanks
