i just got my v1se in today. 60 sq. feet and dad picked a heat gun on the way from home depot. i wanna get this shiznit in my car. you have a hatch and have 20 left over, so i'm guessing that my sedan should need all of 60. got any other pointers for a 1st timer? how long did it take you? is a heat gun really needed? i don't see any faqs on hondatech on removing the carpet. did you have help?

i was replacing my carpet anyway that day so i had to take it out. you have to take everything out including the seats and center console. the carpet toward the center console was held in my pins that just come off but in some of the other spots they glued the carpet down. it just depends on how the civic is set up. you dont need a heatgun, at least i didnt use one. just get a roller and roll on. it took me with replacing the new carpet about 5 hours and thats because the carpet had to be cut and fitted. putting down the edead wasnt hard at all, the most time it takes is to take the carpet out.
