    Default engine question,

    is the F22B2 vtec or non-vtec? cause i just bought an accord with the F22B2 and the guy claimed it was vtec but said the valve cover was cracked so he put another one on.

    F22B2

    This engine was used in the 1994-1997 Honda Accord DX and LX. The F22B6 in the 1995-1997 Honda Odyssey and the F22B8 in the Honda Shuttle are substantially similar.

    * Displacement: 2156 cc
    * Valve Configuration: SOHC, 16 valves
    * Compression ratio: 8.8:1
    * Max power: 130 hp (97 kW) @ 5300 rpm
    * Max torque: 139 ft·lbf (188 Nm) @ 4200 rpm

    Check around the left side of your valve cover either in front or behind the distributor for the V tec solenoid.

    Negative, it came in accord lx and dx models=non VTEC
