Maybe because we have been riding longer, and have seen enough people killed?

Smaller bikes are lighter and easier to learn with. You can concentrate on riding more.

Why do MotoGP races start in GP125, then go to GP250, then move up? If it doesn't matter, why even have a GP125 class at all?.... Maybe they know more that we do?....
