Default Turbo S2K project inside (pics)

We're doing our first serious S2k project at the moment. First the car got some 275/40 tires crammed under the rear with a little fender lip rolling, and an alignment. Next we pulled the motor and tranny to do the clutch, headgasket, and oil pan plumbing. Also, the bumper was removed for fitting the huge GTR-style intercooler. The customer is looking for at least 400whp with this car, and Mainstream will more than likely be tuning the AEM EMS if Ed doesn't do it. Stay Tuned....

    UPDATE:

Things are moving along more steady now that we have all the parts. Put the Inline pro 3mm headgasket in with the ARP studs, the updated 4-hole oil jets, the stage 3 CC clutch kit, and comptech flywheel. The motor is back in the car and we are starting to get all the turbo stuff fitted and moved the battery to the trunk. The car may be done early this coming week. Then off to Mainstream to see if she will break 450 WHP on the high boost setting. Hope the pistons will hold up to the beating!

    PICS:

Oh yeah, also installed a stage 4 CC clutch and flywheel, and new low ratio rear diff. into this nice Comptech supercharged S2k a couple weeks ago......

the guy drove all the way up from Savannah to let me hook-it-up!

Well she's just about done. We should see tomorrow how the car runs once we get our basemap loaded into the AEMpro. Then after this one rolls out the door, another one will be rolling right back in to get a turbo kit installed. I will be S2Ked out by the time summer hits LOL!

He had a lovefab kit but sold it to his buddy for this kit that was pieced togother by another guy. I am installing the lovefab kit on his buddts car this upcoming week, and I think he is going to have you guys tune it as weell, if you guys do e-manage.

    Update:

The car dynoed friday and made 351whp @ 7psi and then we ran out of tuning time. Next time it is going in for a 10psi tune and a 15psi tune, both for pump gas. the customers goal was to hit 450whp at 15 psi, but it will be interesting to see if the car might break 500whp now!

EDIT: here is a pic and a short vid...

Here is an update on the grey S2000...

The car is finished and it made a dyno pull of 330whp @ 12psi on pump gas and 9:1 compression. The owner expects to tune again at 16-18psi to see if it will be breaking 400whp... sounds pretty cool! This kit was a pain in the ass to install, and it's power output is nowhere near the red S2k because this kit is a street kit with log manifold, and the red car's kit is more of a race type kit with the awesome Lovefab tubular manifold.

Wow! Im in love with the work your doing. What would be an estimated cost of turboing my s2k. I would probably want something along the lines of RX4BRDM's. A nice 300-400 whp. Im about to install a clutch. What would you recommend for my car with me wanting 350whp?

Well, including the kit, the CC carbon clutch, the head gasket, the tuning, and the labor, I think these guys spent over $7,500 easy.

I don't really recommend the inline pro kit though because it is a real pain to install, AND you have to cut a big 3" x 8" hole in the frame rail for the turbo to fit (if you are running the bigger turbo, like RX4BRDM's).
