    Default waste of time and money to mod an r18?

    i own an 07 civic ex , originally when i bought it i was just going to go for appearance... rims, lip kit, tint, projectors, smoked tails, drop, system ect... is it a waste to go for performance instead bc im having second thoughts..

    what do *YOU* want to do wit *YOUR* car... thats the first question...
    if you like both aspects of the tuning world then do little bits of both. no one says you cant have a good looking car that can also perform. but its more of a matter as to what you actually want... im not very familiar with the new honda motors but i dont see how the 250 goal would be hard to achieve.


    and is it ever really a waste of money if its something you enjoy doing... cause if your concerned if its a waste of money then modifying your car maybe just isnt for you...

    lol that was you? haha.... anyways i think ive made the decision to go ahead and trade up for the SI im gonna sell me EX outright so i dont get screwed on the trade in and buy an SI ill lose about 1k but its all good...

    Seriously, that's probably a better idea imo, the difference you'll pay for an Si would be worth it to me rather than modding a base motor to make it go just as fast. Is R the new series?

    the r18 is gangsta. The exhaust manifold is intergrated into the head, so you could basicially bolt on a turbo. Just don't know how much boost it can take. If you check out the most recent issue (I think) of the honda tuning magazine they have an ok article about the r18 and its inner workings.

    hmmm dude if you are concerned about spending money.. then rly you do not need to mod car(s).. cause believe me i know that i am far from alone in saying you will spend money and you will spend alot of money to get good products to make a good reliable car,, i have spent my fair share, not as many as others on here.. but enough..

    Def get the SI. I will never regret getting mine 200HP with an 8K redline. Oh and don't waste your money on the honda factory performance shit (i got it all on mine ) it looks good but for the money you can get waaaaaaayyyy better shit.
