F20C and F22C
hi,i need help. this weekend,i'm planning to get an s2000 but i know that from the 00-03 model it comes with the F20C and 04+ comes with the F22C...can anyone tell me which motor would be better or if theres really any significant differences...thanks alot, and another thing is tat im plannin to boost in the future(if tat helps), thanks again
u will notice the differance in the AP1(2000-2003) and AP2(2004-2007)
the AP1 is the silver one and has a f20c whick revs to 9k
the AP2 is the blue one and it has a f22c. the f22c revs to 8200k but makes a little more tourqe.
if u are really gonna go boost i would go with the AP1 with the f20c because u have a higher redline which mean more revs to be in boost. while some may say the extra .2 liters will make the turbo spool faster but i dont think that .2 liters will make up for the 800rpm powerband
notice the diffeance in the front bumpers, the silver is the ap1 and the blue is ap2 front bumpers.....
oh and the black one is the fast one

i have the ap1, and i have driven the ap2. i like the 9k rpm. I wasn't used to the 8k rpm when i drove the ap2, it seemed i needed to shift way early. The best advise is to drive both cars and decide for urself. as far as which one is faster, they are almost identical on straights. hope that helps.

but that silly though cause a s2k is not a stright line car, but once u get boosted it will be fast in a stright line but u will allways take me in the twisties

if you wanna run we still can just for fun but if tats ur car then its clean man +1
