I still don't understand why it matters if it goes on a lift or not. I think it is pretty stupid that the only way you will pay is if it goes to a shop. Hoe does your car going on a lift change anything? It's not like a lift magically makes your exhaust work better. Either way it is on your car... It's four fucking bolts... not rocket science.

I have no idea what you're talking about . I don't care how it gets lifted, that wasn't my point . My point was, if I'm going to pay, I might as well throw the money towards a professional; that's all. 'Just how I want to spend my money. If something goes wrong with my exhaust later on, it gets lose, it falls off, it's not straight, the alignment is off, it's scratched up, etc., I can go after a shop - it's all about liability. Just how I personally feel, that's all.

if its a premade catback, its nothing but a few bolts and a hanger.....theres no alignment there unless we need to weld it

That's what I'm not sure about to begin with, atm. I haven't received the catback yet, it's on the way, but I've been told by a few Eclipse owners that they had to get theirs realigned and welded, while others had a perfect fit . I guess it all depends. We'll see when it gets here.

if its a model specific catback, there shouldnt be anything to do lol. If you havent gotten it yet, i would go to mainstream and just do a custom one IMO

A "professional" is required to use a socket wrench. Nor does paying him provide you any benefits over someone who doesnt own a business. That's not a wise way to spend money. Businesses incur more costs than individuals, so you are paying more money for the same labor.

Well didn't the exhaust come off of another 3G eclipse? Chances are it bolts right up no problem.
