welding up spoiler holes
Too the spoiler off my 240sx hatch and now I want to fill the holes up.
Im good with my mig welder, except I dont know what to fill the holes with. Should I grind the galvanization off some washers? or is there a place where I can buy small metal disks that I can just weld right in?

uhm only if u have to...
but you can buy a spoilerless hatch off the base 240 for less than 100$...comes with no holes whatsoever , not even windshield wiper..thats what i did , and it looks alot cleaner and smoother

If you decide you want to weld it.
-Grind the paint from the hole opening.
-Cut small piece of sheet metal to fit in the holes with tin snips.
-Get a little magetic pen to hold the metal in place, weld it. Be fast or take breaks so it' doesn't get too hot and warp the panel.
It will warp a little... Tap it down with a hammer. It really is a bit of work to get it straight again. Might be worth it to just get another hatch.

^^ he's right. I welded small disks I cut out of sheet metal into my trunk lid and now I have a wavy trunk because I wasn't thinking it would warp the trunk lid.
:P doh
