    Default Alternative to Fender Rolling?

Im not sure if this would be a good alternative but someone had mentioned to me that instead of getting the fender rolling done, to use a metal snipper and snip the two sides of the lip inside the fender and gently bend the metal up. Just wanted some opinions and thoughts on this. It sure would be cheaper to do this than pay 160 to have my rears rolled.

    smaller tires?

...basically snipping it and bending it is no differant than rolling the fenders. You'll want a heat gun to warm up the paint so it is less likely to crack but it's still going to on the inside depending on how far you bend it...which is going to lead to flaking then rust right at the edge. I'd seriously think twice about doing it but if the tires rub you don't really have a choice...

If still you insist on doing it, on a flat smooth surface only you can put a floor jack under the car leaving enough space too set a steel pipe, jack handle, etc. in-between the tire and fender slowly lowering the car until there's enough pressure on the pipe....make sure you wrap the pipe with some sort of tape first so it had a little more grip against the fender [than bare steel]. I'd suggest using the heat gun to "warm" up the paint some then slowly "roll" the pipe forward and back adjusting the floor jack when needed. Dependng on the suspension set up the tire will probably still be on the ground so you won't be able "roll" the pipe without pushing the car back and forth with the floor jack underneath. That's why it must be on a flat & smooth surface, otherwise your floor jack may catch and car suddenly drops a few inches leaving a nice big dent in the fender from the pipe still being there...you don't want that to happen

The other option is take an air nibbler http://www.northerntool.com/webapp/w...8&Ntk=All&Ne=2 and cutting the fender then putting on flares.

    like these...
