I bought a brand new r6 put no down payment and paying around 250 a month for 3 years and paying 80 a month on insurance, Not too bad. Oh and i got the bike for 9339 out the door.

you could always get a personal loan from like citi auto loans for lower interest and then by a bike from a private seller to save assloads of money. basically what I do, I'll never buy from a dealership. well until I can afford to drop cash straight out the door.
Save up the money and pay cash.
pay cash and buy one 6 mos. old with 3500 miles on it for 2/3 the price
im looking to buy an 01-03 gsxr600, i just going to pay cash, i dont see the point in paying all the interest, i understand the situation your in, and i would just save and buy one when you get the money.

not to bitch, but why do people never learn that you never get ahead buying stuff first, then paying for it? Like toys you don't have to have now
long story short unless your like 30 yrs old not only are you going to pay alot more due to interest, but full coverage is going to eat you up.
Get a USED ninja 500 and ride and save 'till you can get what you want

thanx for all the advice i bought a 99 gsx-r 600 for $1700. got a great deal because the guy that owned it moved to Tx. and just told his father in law to sell it. bike has yoshi exhaust, rejetted carbs, galfer wave rotor on rear, k&n filter, polished frame, zero gravity screen, and custom pearl yellow paint. needs cosmetic work just minor things.
great buy, be careful out there and holla when you're ready to get out for some riding...

Now all you need to get now is some frame sliders, you wouldn't wanna scracth that nice polished frame.
I rode it a few days ago...nice bike for the price...
