I need some 4.77's set into the stock diff housing on my S2000. What shops in the area have knowledge playing with diffs and would actually have the shims required to do this job?? Thanks in advance.

mr. kidd can you guys source a new final gear for a s14 diff? (i'm looking for something like 3.6 or 3.4)
Q45 Diff will work, you have to do some slight modifications.Originally Posted by Verik

what is the spec on the final drive?..... lol is it a r200 bc i plan on going w/ a aftermarket lsd as well.
i know you can go with j30's but those don't lower it enough for me... some ppl on ka-t.org had a discussion about the possibilities of using a z31 diff w/ a 3.42 rear end that you could buy from courtesy nissan but it was deemed it can't fit.
why do you want such a low ratio? if I am not mistaken, Q45's are 3.6.

3.6 would work for me. any idea what all would need to be done to make it work?
i want a bit of a lower final gear bc i plan on using my car at mostly road track events like track days at RA and TGP and I would like to have a bit longer gears. Plus I hate topping out at like 135 @ 5.5k rpms (power starts breaking up after that... ask mike to see my dyno or pm me and ill send you it if you want to see). Lower gear would also help out with traction when I go back to THP to get a few things fixed (specifically retuned to 16 psi).

I got dinner to goto.

New question. Even though it takes different axles to fit, it says its a R200V so would any aftermarket diff for a 240 work for it?
NM, ty for the read. The Q45 diff and ring and pinion can swap over into the 240's diff but you need to drill out the bolt holes from 12mm to 13mm ><. That and you reverse the sides of the open diff splines (this swap only works with those... so the diff has to be open diff or a aftermarket lsd meant for an open diff) so the longer is on the right side.

Besides the the guy that is doing the install of my turbo kit actually works at one of the shops that posted in my previous thread. But he will be doing it at his friends house after work. Same quality less then half the price. JackassOriginally Posted by Da Green Man
