you can figure 7-13hp per pound of boost added to the stock hp wheel output...10hp/pound is a good estimate. therefore, 3-5psi=30-50hp over stock. 7-8psi tuned should be ok and fun daily driver.

there's been a few people running 8-10psi that is making 300-330whp on completely stock h22.

H22 pistons dont like the excessive peak cylinder pressure. Keep the timing very convservative and it should be fine.

Low boost should be 6-8psi...under that is really a waste and nitrous would be your best bet.

not necessairly.... the reason why the h22's dont handle boost so well is because the ringlands are set higher on the pistons. This means its easier to break with excessive cylinder pressure....

Type R and GSR do fine and are not as susecptible to piston failure as h-series...although there are a few Hseries that have been known to make some decent power stock too.

damn, i should of rephrased that, I meant high boost. We all know the H22 rings suck, but i heard a stock H22 can hold 15 psi at the most, not for long though.

Might i suggest the Jackson Racing Supercharger? All around its better than a turbo on a stock H22, especially with you having an SH like me theres only so much power you can put to the wheels before the ATTS unit doesnt work anymore. The JRSC runs on 7psi, no internals needed, comes with a warranty and can pass an emissions test with no problem. Bolts are not required, but as with any engine they will help.

Only real downside to it is the type of engine management it has, most people will tell you to get something else. Again since you have the SH you're gonna want a piggyback system so you dont lose your ATTS.
