The only problems I've known of with the Spec V were the pre-cat in the header and the butterfly valve screws.

The pre-cat header problem was recalled, but I'd just swap the stock header for a Stillen or something. The Buttlerfly Valve Screws can be removed and put back on with locktite for a quick and effective solution.

If you replace the stock header for one without a pre-cat you have to get a wideband 02 sensor.

The Stillen ceramic coated header comes with a black box that you splice into your O2 Sensor wire to get rid of the code. Worked great for me.

I just did the next best thing and dumped my piece o shit nissan and got a Honda. Its a pretty major defect for an entire run of cars to have. My engine blew at 58,000 miles(it was an 05) becaue of the pre-cat.
