2.0T's have a diverter valve, although the earlier production ones had problems w/their seals i believe.

Fortunately, I know exactly when my car was made (right before my07), cuz I had to order it and wait for it to come here on a friggin boat... (not to mention the other identifiers of when it was manufactured...).

But yeah, from everything I've read it seems that the 2.0T's are basically ready to chip right from the dealer, as long as you've broken in the engine.

13.5k miles, got my V1, fresh mobil 1, and a new K&N, a chip is the next (first real) mod on my list.

Just an FYI... I got an interesting e-mail this morning. Turns out that the local Audi Club has a sponsor offering APR discousts. I've sent them an e-mail to see what kind of discount it is. I'll let y'all know when I hear something. I'm not saying goapr, but it'll be nice to know how much this group buy will save us :->

so I heard back from the apr guys:

"The Cherokee Chapter gets 10% off retail chip prices. Your price would be $673.20 for stock and 93, instead of $748. With 7% tax and $42.50 labor, your total would be $762.82
Read up on APR's website, and keep in mind if you add the $59 security option the complete system is 100% undetectable from dealerships."

    One thing to note!!!!
Apparently there could be an ecu upgarde waiting for us when we go in for service.

I'm at 13.5k miles, and I might just try to come in for my 15k service to avoid this euc potential conflict....

I got one question, I found a guy that has a passat and is selling his, the number on the chip is all the same expect for the last 1 letter. Does that make any difference at all? could whoever installs it change it over so it fits my passat?

    His is: 2002 Passat® 1.8T 4B0906018CM
    Mine(would be the one for my car): 2001 B5 Passat® 1.8T 4B0906018CL

sorry guys i've been slammed w/ work i'll talk to brian and try to get prices this week on what they can do for us; i'm sure it will be better then APR prices and you will be getting more bang for your buck going GIAC anyway.

So I can make it to a group buy any weekend but next one (23-25) as I'm flying out to Texas and can't change that.
This weekend is ok for me, but I'm guessing short notice for most ppls. I just have to make it to athens in time to start drinkin for st. patrick's :->
How about march 31st? or April 7th?

I know it's going to be hard to get 15 ppls (or whatever the # is) schedules to sync up, but maybe we should post conflicts here.

I KNOW ALOT OF PEOPLE ARE ASKING ABOUT RETAIL PRICES:

    1.8T PUMP - 500$ (40+WHP/70+LBS CAN BE EXPECTED)

    2.0T PUMP - 550$ (40+WHP/70+LBS CAN BE EXPECTED)

    STOCK MAPS - 50$
RACE MAPS - 100$ (10+WHP/20+LBS CAN BE EXPECTED)
    FLASH LOADER - 150$
CUSTOM PROGRAMS: VALET,KILL, ETC (50-100+ DEPENDING ON PROGRAM)
    ---------------------------------------------------------------------------

IF YOU GOT THE $$$ I SUGGEST A FLASHLOADER + STOCK + PUMP + RACE... W/ THE DISCOUNT IT IS WORTH EVERY $$$ YOU PUT INTO IT... THERE WILL BE NOT OTHER MOD GIVE YOU THIS AMOUNT OF POWER FOR THAT $$$!!!!

W/ SOFTWARE + MINOR BOLT ONS EPG WAS ABLE TO GET MY 2001 AWW 1.8T FROM STOCK FORM OF 150WHP/160LB TO 225WHP/290LBS = 75WHP/130LBS GAINS!!!
