you might want to do something about that intake, when i had my vr6 i did the same thing, just hook up a k&n cone filter to the MAF housing. at first it was great but then in the summer with all of that heat it caused my MAF to go out really fast and there is a little oneway valve that goes from the intake by the throttle body to the valve cover or crank case, and my the intkae just hanging there it cause it to tear which was not good at all, and it is expensive to replace if you cant fidn it used which it is hard to find it used... just my
