Sorta, but what are you really going to get? This is a target rifle, you can get an AR for $650 (I don't know what they go for on the "street"), usually it'll be pieced together and the components won't be as well matched. The barrel alone is a $300ish piece, then add the gunsmithing to fit it and the parts to fit the bull barrel. This isn't a gat, piece, heater, blaster, whatever you want to call it, it's a target rifle, it's well put together, tight tolerances, high end components, and well taken care of. The part of the barrel under the handgaurd is over an inch in diameter, it's cut down after that so it doesn't weigh too much, and modified parts will fit. Granted it doesn't make much of a diffrence if you don't know about these weapons or can't take advantage of the refinement. $650 or $1600, I'll still hit paper plates at 300+ meters, with just the sights, with an AR15/M16, that's your tax dollars at work
