Hi, where did you buy your gas tank from? I have a miller tig welder, but I'm looking to buy a gas tank instead of renting one. Thanks.

no flaming, go bother someone else plz. matco makes a 140amp, 180amp, and a 200amp welder the same size....if ur bored and feel like flaming summore...go to www.matcotools.com and click on the "contact us" icon and call them out directly.

i'll get the moderl number tomorow and give u EXACT specs. its listed as a portable welder so it operates on 120v's so it can be removed from the stand, change the wire for gas-less welding and throw it in the back of ur car.

The only welder I saw on their site in your "$900 new" price range was the 120V @ 15A mig welder. Part#: MWLD100 Price: $698.50

The don't even list a 120A welder on the site. The next step up from the 120V/15A unit is the 140 AMP MIG WELDER (Part#: MIG140A Price: $1,100.00 ).

Point being, there isn't a 120A welder listed on their site. The smallest is 120V then 140A, with nothing listed in the middle.

it isnt new man, its about 3 yrs old. and i paid $900 cuz i bought the welder, AND the cart, AND the tank = $900 now quit flamin'. its a daytona Mig sold under the matco name. casper read me out the numbers on the serial plate and its stamped w/ 120V 80AMP so its an 80a not 120a.

Thanks for giving the real info on the product, as I knew this wasn't a 120A welder and called you on it. You got all defensive with your "go to www.matcotools.com and click on the "contact us" icon and call them out directly" and you were wrong about your product knowledge.

If it takes a little "flamn'" to get you to post correct info when you're wrong, then start posting correct info.

f-off queer, i wasnt tryin to "trick" anyone that would want to buy this thing. i bought this thing 3 yrs ago and i thought i remember it said it was a 120amp, cuz it says "120" in big a$$ thick bold face letters on the front. thanks for correcting me but dont come off as a dick know-it-all when the item isnt even urs. i posted it from home and i was gonna get info on monday but since u crawed up in my a$$ for it i hadda call "CasperSE" and get him to read the numbers off to me over the phone. Matco DOES make a welder thats 140A and its the same size...in fact u posted the p/n earlier. now that acurasquirrel exposed my ultra-SECRET plan of tryin to screw someone....anyone care to make an offer? how about u squirrel...u seem to have taken this on a personal quest...

I never thought you were trying to screw someone. I just didn't believe that it was a 120A welder, based on the 120V plug-in.

You're the one that got all bent out of shape when I said "there's not way that little thing is 120A" and continued to push the idea that it was 120A.

I'll say it's a good welder at a good package price and g/l with the sell.
