    loooooooooooooool..

But what are some of these seat heights that are giving y'all problems? 5'10'' and have flat-footed all bikes I've ridden..

I found a set for my bike on Roaring Toyz website for $274.99

I only want to extend my wheelbase about 4" or so. Just a mild stretch. Kinda weird looking from a side profile that the rear tire is tucked so far under.

I want to say the Roaring Toyz kit for mine was a little bit cheaper, but to be expected for an '02 model. I was going to take it a little further out (5-7"), but get it all welded up.

    Fortunately, I am not religious

The more I think about it the more I don't want the stretch. I do want to go lower though.

Slightly lower isn't a bad thing. Just watch the pegs in the mountains, even at a easy pace I can drag on my buddies lowered 600.

Yeah that's another thought I had about it. Maybe I will just leave it at stock ride height. Handles great as is. Damn non-folding Vortex pegs.

You can adjust the peg height with the Vortex sets. He's running stock pegs. You may lose a little comfort, but be able to take tight turns at faster than 45.

Too bad I am a dog person

I decided against the stretch and lower. Too much money to do it all. Gonna stick to performance with this one. When I eventually get my Hayabusa, then I will go back to the idea of stretching.

After riding the Busa we keep at the shop I decided one day I WILL own a Busa dropped with a mild stretch, and hella motor work. I will also have some type of sport bike for the twisties though.

I love them. Not because of speed, but because they are comfortable to ride. Much better on a road trip and any other sport bike.

I like to consider them more of a Super Sport Touring bike than a Sportbike. They make AWESOME touring machines, and don't have the ride of handling characteristics of a typical sportbike; not saying they handle bad by any means, just arent AS responsive. I see several Busa's up here (including the one at the shop) owned by older men who use them for touring machines.

I used to HATE stretched bikes.. but at least it usually means someone did their own thing to a bike, and at least I can give a +1 to ppl who mod it and make it their own..

..but you'll never catch me with one!..

ALSO - Cannot wait to post up my new bike, you won't be able to guess it but i'll get a pic up after I clean it today after work!

    ^^ On the right track!

Well, got it cleaned up but forgot the camera, so I'm just gonna post of the previous owner's pics

    Honda Hawk GT (NT650)
    - 650cc Twin
    - Single sided swing-arm
    - Aluminum perimeter frame
    - Same age as I am (1988)!

The clip-ons are not the factory ones, but they did come with factory clips ons that have more of a rise to them. I'm getting those back on as well as the stock mirrors. Bar end mirrors just don't work too well for me.

The bike's also got CBR F2 gen. front forks for adjustability and CBR900RR rear clicker shock. Rides great! Very agile and thin, small. 370 lbs dry and close to 400 wet.

Wheels were powder coated black which w/e lol.. A bike wayyy ahead of it's time - first production bike w/a Single-sided swing and got raced like mad back in the day.

    ONTO PICS -

Hawks were/are effing sweet! Great riding bikes, a ton of fun, and can be picked up for really reasonable prices for all the bike you are getting right now. I'd love to have one to daily.

Thanks code! I know right? Ever since I first saw them I've just been fascinated lol.. All Honda bikes from the late 80's early 90's I think are just AMAZING:
    - CB-1
    - the hawk of course lol
    - NX250
    - nsr 50
    - VTR 250 - This thing is awesome, 250 faired tiny little street bike! Perfect competition for the old 250 ninja AND it had an "in-board" front rotor that was inside the spokes of the wheel! crazy stuff Honda was doin at this time..

    - VFR 750

I'm just a sucker for these generation of bikes.. idk why!

But yea, gotta get up to one of your weekend rides sometime!

You do realize the new 1340 Busa's can dip into the 9's with just slip on's and a PC don't you? They are insane bikes, and I've NEVER seen a 10R turn those numbers stock.

A new Busa wet weight is right around 543lbs, a dry 2007 ZX-10R is near 410. The ZX10R puts around 155whp stock, the Busa we have at the shop dynoed at 202whp bone stock. Once you figure up they are the absolute most chocked up stock bike built and by changing out the exhaust to most aftermarket single can setups drop around 22lbs on them you begin to see a big difference in power to weight ratio.

I thought they've been dipping into the 9's stock since early 00's?

But I'm with you, want one, one day.

If anyone wants to get into a cruiser, a guy that works with me works for Cycle Specialty in Fayetteville has a '99 Yahama V-Star 650 for less than $2000. I'd scoop it up if I didn't have a car note.

Really dirty in the pic, still need to wash it. Shortened the Yoshimura. Ordering some stuff this weekend, pics once they're in and installed.
