Sunday is almost my only day off too. How about a pre-planned Varsity Meet and Greet? Sometime within the next month or so.

No real riding down that way. I'd rather meet somewhere where we could go cruise some twistie roads at a "moderate" pace after we eat and chill. Say Helen, then we could hit Unicoi to 180 take that out to Blood/Wolf Pen.

That sounds good. When would be a good time? I got to put my bike in the shop this week to be ready for riding.

I'd wait a couple more weeks. Still a little salt/gravel left up here from the last snow, and I'm sure it will cool off again before long. Usually the 1st of March is pretty nice, by mid March it's usually great riding weather.

Good deal. My bike should be ready so long as my rings aren't fried. Just got my bike two days ago and the guy didn't mention anything about it being low on oil. It didn't register what the oil level window was until I looked online. My CBR didn't have that window to my knowledge.

My 2001 Intruder 1400. It's not the best at anything but comfortable, smooth, and surprisingly quick. Crazy torque, will take off in any gear, no matter RPM.

TBH - what I really want is an original Honda naked bike (hawk gt / cb-1 / Hornet 599), or a supermoto but this was a family gift/heir and having a bike to ride is better than not!

Pretty slick for a sporty. Love the apes and the V&H ShortShots. Fender leaves some room for work IMO, but I like it.

I hate ape hangers but love that CBR. I miss mine Wouldn't trade the ZX-6R for one........well maybe I would.

I think I can pin point the location of those pictures to Decatur off of Flat Shoals.

Got it with a RS-3, powder coated wheels, and a holographic looking huge windscreen.

Now it's lowered with Vortex links, windscreen is painted until I can order the one I want, and got the underside painted satin black from off-white.

Next up is a real tag mount and windscreen.

I also have a swingarm mounted tag and hate it. Gonna fabricate a mount for my tag under the tail along with new turn signals.

I hate my integrated taillight.....and now that it is broken, I have a good excuse to get a new one.

You better be damn careful with those fork tubes that far down in the clamps. Do some research on it and see if you want to leave it that way.

The top of my fender is cut out so no worries with the wheel hitting it and stoping up. Im trying out his new setup tomorrow but so far after 20 or so 10 oclock wheelies at the track its doing fine

Fender hitting isn't the problem. Speed wobble, loss of stability at speed, etc.

Its my 3rd bike. working my my 1980 CB900 project right now. I'll post a thread on it's progress one day. most has already been done, just reassembly and finishing touches.

the 1979 yamaha xs650 and 1974 CB550 are on the backburner. Not enough room for them all at once.

    But yeah, thanks!

I LOVE mine lowered. It makes me a lot more comfortable riding it (only 5'10"). I don't ride it too hard, so I haven't noticed the slightest handling change.

If you ever get up to speed you'll notice a reduced lean angle, there isn't much of a difference other than that when lowering just the rear.

    2 Things:
    1. How is it lugging that thing around the city? I'm just curious is it hard to maneuver tight turns etc.
    2. ^^WTH?! 10 o'clock wheelies on a crazy stretched drag bike?! Pics/Vids or it didn't happen! You might get a couple inches but 10 o'clock?

I'm right at 6' and can't quite flat foot on my R1... but I don't lack enough that I feel unsafe or lack confidence. If I lowered mine I would most definitely end up losing too much lean angle, I'm close enough already.
