Default A completely legal meet/give Varsity the finger!!

Well, after hearing about people complaining about people getting stupid at the V, but still going there (Jorge!) and others saying its their choice to.... how would you like to have your cake and eat it too?

    What am i talking about?

What if i said theres a place we can have a meet, just south of atlanta (20 min) where we could gather, talk, bs, burnout, trayslide and NOT WORRY about it being illegal?

I was down at Senoia Speedway on sat night for some drifting. I was talking to the event coordinator and was telling him about the V meets. Well, he was more then welcome to invite everyone down (if there is enough intrest) to hold the meets there. The place is huge. It would be no problem to park everyone on the track itself (3/8mile oval). He said he would have no problem with reserving space for a burnout box or even some traysliding. All of this completely LEGAL. Now to help cover cost of the venue, there might be like a $5 parking charge.... i'd be more then willing to pay $5 for a well lighted, open place to chill and not worry about getting run off.

    What do you guys think?

Well, no racing on the track because of the insurance and safety issues but it's a HUGE and very secluded place that people could walk around and look at cars, do burnouts, listen to music, whatever... and have no fear of being run off. As long as everyone behaves, it could be a really good thing.

Not very. 1st Gen or 2nd? 2nd Gen's kick out pretty easily, but the first gens usually take a little weight shift (or clutch kick) to really get sideways.

So is this meet good for this Thursday?

I don't think I would publicize at the Varsity. Then you get a lot of idiots at the track and before you know it, something will go wrong.

I would be interested as long people don't act stupid. I will come to the first one to test it out if ya'll get it setup. Like no racing around the track type stuff cause last thing I need is for some kid who can't drive smashing into the side of my car.

thats why i am suggesting to the guy at the track to park the car ON the track so no one can get stupid and go drive on the track.....because it will be a big, round parking lot

It really wasn't a bad drive for us from Buckhead. T

here are some dirt places you can drive through but they are very even. And there is a paved road that goes all the way to the track. The very lowered Miata had no problems at all.

Not sure if this can replace the Varsity, the central location is just easy for everyone but I LOVE THE IDEA OF THIS ADDITIONAL MEET! Props to the O.P
