Holly white Mitsu in NOPI booth) 2nd place Mitsu./1st place JDM overall
Nathan (blue EG up front) won 2nd place JDM overall
Did any of you guys think that the event was small? I saw all the cars in under an hour. I thought it was a waste of my $25. What do you guys think.
does any1 have pics of the winners?
Swifty
But its not just about the cars, I was there for a LONG damn time, but I think it was worth the money, if you hang around get involved with whats going on, get free stuff and all that i think its worth it. I know its all about the cars, but I think its also about what is going on at booths and so on.Originally Posted by Tuner

yeah the vendors play a HUGE part....
Just between the giveaways/models/performances let alone the vehicles it was def. worth the $25 !
I took home 4th place 4dr wild
congratz atif, sure was a hot prelude![]()
A couple of my friends were told to go home after sitting in line for almost 4 hours.
They had preregistered.
Showed up Friday night to drop off the cars.
Told to come back in the morning since 'larger teams were expected, and were having spots reserved.'
Came back Saturday morning at 10:30
Sat in line until 2:30
Were told that they were too full, and were told to go home.
Were not refunded for their preregistration
Kind of a fucked up system, isn't it?

Damn!!! I am sure they would have to??
when Win got kicked out last year they never gave his money back to him....but they really should. last time i had a simalar problem with a show they just credited me for their show next year.........
I believe it was something like 40+ cars had to get turned down for entering. I was one fo them.
I was told they werent doing refunds then but to email someoen on HIN's website about it. If that doesnt work i see a bunch of pissed off people coming.

Yea, the Saturday roll-in was so messed up. Seems like they oversold the show and/or vendors were taking up way too much space then previous shows (ie. XM Lounge, Toyo trailer, etc).
I took home 4 awards:
1st place 4-door Mild
Hottest EDM
Hottest BMW
NOPI "Elite" car recognition
Yeah, getting no refund is about as homo as a closet full of AIDS-infested transvestites...
Congrats to those that won, though!

Wow! Not to be an ass but some of those cars could have parked outside in the lot. There were two IS300 just taking up space...I could see if it was a vendor's booth and they were advertising something special. I was with my wife the whole time so $25 wasn't worth it. If she wasn't there I would have taken some pics of the models. The Scion GT4 challenge was worth it! Although the guy I raced was probably mad as hell because I kept on trying to bump my way thru.

anybody see the 300zx that looked kinda like a ferrari? it was different, didnt really like it, but i had good time

The roll-in was fucked..I said fuck it when I was in line and just rolled up to the gate and turned out to be the last car they were letting in...whew...

seein a 4 door skyline in person was pretty sweet....
I'll have to agree the roll in was messed up. Our cars got there before 3 and it was after 6 before they got into the venue. It was hot as hell outside. From what I understand the Fire Marshall was the ass that cut off entry into the building on Saturday. Sure seemed like there was additional space for more cars.
Congrats to everyone that took home trophies. We took home Hottest Mazda with our Miata and Hottest Honda - Other with the S2000. Saw a lot of good friends. I too enjoyed seeing a four door Skyline. The guys in that booth were great to meet.
The cars all looked nice....the show has outgrown that venue, way to go ATL.
The show as always seemed a bit flawed at times. Ex;
-The roll in was VERY messed up.
-The pre-reg people that got turned away was messed up.
-An Integra winning "Best Acura other (other than integra)" was another obv flaw (Nothing against the owner or car...and its a MAN not a woman stupid bimbo).
- Wild BOS was questionable IMO, I thought it was Timmays.
How many entrants did "Dream motorsports" bring anyway? More than 15?!
I agree w/ another namesless guy from another team who says if you " make the NCCA mad, you'll never place again." I agree 110% Ex; John Marshes SLAP SQ #1 car 2 yrs in a row, and not placing top 3 in Audio presentation....again?! Even w/ over 50 install pics on hand, and more $ in audio than some whole cars. I call BS again.
Alot of nice cars won, and I dont wanna take that away from anyone....nice work.
Congrats to NickRD and RED who both took 4 awards, great showing.
Dream Motorsports ended up not winning for participation. I believe that Elite won with 19 registered
yeah they took the award from us due to ppl who cant add......

being pre-registered and waiting 3.5 hours one day and 6 the next to still get turned down due to a few asses cutting to the front of the line (and not being able to get my money back) sure was fun![]()
Well there was a lot of nice cars there, sometimes shows get messed up by judging but its just one show. Does anybody know what car took best 350z? Congrats to Tim nice job. Sometime not winning gives you the drive to go do something else to your ride so the next show you can have a better chance.

Congrats Travis!!! Congrats Atif!!!! Dang Nick, 4 trophies!!!! Well deserved wins, all of yall. Congrats to all the winners. I had to work the whole weekend. My friends who went told me it took them 5hrs to get in!!!!! Some of my friends in 3SI, actually the whole group were turned away, even tho they pre-reg'd. Total BS!! I wanted to go this year, and was thinking of next year since I missed it this year, but now I'm not so sure. They better refund those that were turned away, that's for sure, and they better be more organized, otherwise, I don't think ATL will support this show.
I now that next year, I'll be there in line early as hell, but they need to change venues, and get something bigger.

Grats to all the winners!
I failed to win an award this year but there were a lot of more deserving cars than my 350. Some were flat out sick.
On a happy note the family, car, and I were interviewed for Turner Networks and that was well worth it.

HIN was held at the Georgia World Congress Center 2years ago, then last year and this year they moved to the Ga Int'l Convention Center. They're gonna need to move back to the World Congress Center to accomodate, that is if they make things right with those that they turned away, cuz that's still leaving a bad taste for many. I would think they would refund, and give free admission and passes for next year at the very least.
only problem with getting into the world congress center is the entrance to the place....worst design ever you scrap like hell trying to get your car in....or atleast I did and i know a few other that did too!!! but yet it is bigger.....
