    Ha... sounds familiar

We went Saturday, had a great time. Lets just say we would have liked to drive a few more times but the staff did not agree with that idea.

It's fine though, they were stricter than we thought they were going to be.

This will certainly become a yearly event for me.

I enjoyed it, never could get the mazdaspeed 6 anything less than 27 seconds. Seriously never figured out the steering on that thing, understeered way more than I expected from AWD.

Did anyone get their picture taken? Last year we were able to go to the site and put in the number on your card and it would show any pictures they took out on the course. Not sure if they did it the same way this year??

I only got to run it once and did horrible, or at least I thought it was pretty horrible. I needed a lap to get used to the clutch which is a huge difference from mine and to get comfy with a car that's twice as big as what I usually drive. That bitch is quick though.

I know I could have easily shaved a huge amount of time off if I had a second run... ahem... wonder why I didn't get to drive it again.

I'm kidding!!... I'm not mad... (I'm so getting the evil eye for giving him a hard time about it)

Would have been nice to have a timer on the RX-8 or Miata course... I was/am waaaaay more comfy in those cars. Even if it wasn't a competition, just times for our own curiosity.

Last year the timed course was miata's, it was a LOT more fun. That was a pretty pathetic course for really throwing a car around, only one real turn. What did you do to not go again? I came within 4 inches of being the 3rd person saturday to take out the finish line timing device, slid right next to it much to the amusement of the crowd. Luckily they didn't get mad.

You can still go and see your picture, use the registration number from your confirmation e-mail and your last name. It's a surprisingly high quality picture, too bad the only time they display is your last. My fastest was before that.

I agree though, woulda been cool to have some people with stopwatches checking out the RX-8 and miata's. Although both times I drove that they yelled "slow down", so maybe not.

Hmmm... my bf drifted the entire Miata course. They weren't too amused (I enjoyed it quite a bit though and that's what counts). So that was the end of driving for the day.

Did we talk to you Saturday?

The 6 was fast and fun but I am just not comfy tossing around a huge car like that.
