Oh, yeah, I know what your'e saying, Jaime. My car wasn't there so I didn't do any drag (or dyno, or show, or...anything), and because of that, I didn't spend too much time at the drag area. But I do know when you're talking about, now.
I suppose it's because they only had one EMT there (as stated, EMT staff shortage) then. But when did they have drag and drift at the same time? I think it was when the viper was running...wasn't it?
Maybe there's a rule that states in one specified area if more than one car is running at a time, EMT is required. Because if only one car is going it's not considered "racing". My dad was telling me back in his days of drag racing his bike, him and a buddy found this backroad to run on all day long, and cops would even come just to watch. Their rule was so long as only one engine is running at a time, it's not considered a race, and therefore we won't ticket you
perhaps the track has some rule along those lines...maybe?
