So I presume its an indoor show this time, unlike last year's DUB show that was outside? I remember hearing people complaining that last years show outside was a PITA with the crowd

that price isnt bad at all....you get to goto a car show and a concert...thats a good deal, and if you get the tickets sooner its cheaper than HIN at $25. But its your call....

If its anything like the V-103 show last year at the same venue (which I think it will be) its a waste. The crowd was way too big, nobody had respect for the cars that were there, I was going to enter but after thinking about it I decided to pass. There will probably be more going on in the parking lot than inside.

I thought last year it was outside at the HiFi-Ampitheater, or somewhere outside I know that? I think this year its indoors at the Conv Center, but still, yea crowd control is a must!

They had a celebrity car show at the Ampitheater but the V-103 show was indoors at the same venue they had HIN last year. It was supposed to be a "celebrity" car show but they just had the cars that ludacris owned there and a few other people.

Its exactly what Brett described, people were leaning on the cars trying to impress the chickenheads walking around. I brought my 3 year old son with me and people just kept walking into him so we didn't stay longer than 10 minutes. I'd of been PISSED had I entered that show, and in all honesty if you saw one you saw it all. Big body sedan or SUV with 22inch rims and up.

From talking with the guy at the Drift show, they are trying NOT to have the show be like that. BUT, as usual, everyone will bash the show without knowing anything about it and then another show series will be out of Atlanta. Just give the show the benefit of the doubt and wait to see what the guy posts as the show gets closer ( i know, it's already close)...just give it a chance.

Well, for those that don't know (almost everyone except for Dan & Tracy), I am the Atlanta Events Manager for Circuit City. I gotta tell ya I'm suprised by the negative feedback on this show. If it's ok with yall, I will forward some of the comments to Niles Kovak (President of DUB) and to some other "Powers That Be". Maybe I can get in someone's ear about the past problems. I wasn't involved with last year's show...so the feedback is good to know. I wouldn't write off the show as whole yet. If the problems last year were as bad as it seems, I'm sure they will be addressed. Hope to be able to put on a show that everyone can enjoy and want to be a part of....not just those with Monte Carlos on 24"s. I'll keep everyone posted.

Oh, and Cliff....I gotcha on 2 tix for the show.

i agree w/ everything posted on the previous events, but if you plan on passing stuff along maybe when they come to town again they give us a buzz like the other major show promoters and we'll give them the run down on the scene. no kid w/ a 20+k in their car would want to go to a show w/ people laying all over their car, just not safe for participants or spectators.

if i'm not mistaken teams like eci were dying to leave early so they could get to other local events that day that weren't like that.

I don't know what all can be done either by informing the higher ups, but I know what will be done if we don't tell them...nothing. And they will assume that the low turn out is due to a lack of interest and pull the show from Atlanta. These shows are big business and they won't continue to bring them to Atlanta if the turn out is poor, even if for a good reason like spectators not respecting the cars. I'm not saying that I'm Captain Save-a-show and can make all that problems go away, but maybe I can use my position/connections to express the concerns that are out there. I assure you that Miles will want to know that the DUB show has a black cloud hanging over it, and will want to do something about it. As do we (circuit City). It's not our show, but we are a major sponsor and will not be involved with shows that don't foster a positive Brand. Anyway, just trying to help turn a bad situation around. Thank you all for your feedback and I will see what I can do.

I will see if that's an option....Obviously, from a company standpoint we want to protect our investment. And from a personal perspective, I wouldn't want someone leaning, touching, scratching, breathing to hard on my car either. I use to loose it when my car was up at work and some Conyers redneck would tap on my cf hood (like it was going to be soft or something?), so I can understand the valid concerns. I will pass on the comments and see what I can do. PM me please and give me some contact info. Thanks again for everyone's feedback.

I am not trying to bash the show by any means, I just am saying what people will be worried about at the show, But im sure you guys will throw one hell of an event, and you guys will get a huge turnout, The DUB name is like gold, You can bank on that

Try 626-336-3821, if you haven't already. If that doesn't help, let me know.
