I thought it was alright. The import scene sucked, but there was some really tight baller rides. Infiniti Q56 on 26s, The F150 on 28s, Stretched out 300, stretched out S class. There was some ghetto shit, but there was also some very respectable shit there. And everyone that they said would be there performing was there performing. $25 for a multi-concert and some nice rides isn't bad.

No ma'am. I'm hardly ready for that yet.

And I agree with Paul about the huge open spaces. It did look as though they were prepared to have many more than what actually showed. If you go to their website and look, the galleries from the previous stops on the tour looked like they were much more packed than this one. I think having it on a Sunday wasn't a great idea.

There were plent of hot rides in the parking lot that could have been in there. All in all, The one thing I was glad to see was that they came through with the performers like they said they would. Not that I enjoyed them that much (twista was tight), but it was cool to see them bring such a lineup to the stage. I'm pretty sure they'll bring it back, just because its atlanta, but I mean damn, they need to hype up the import side of it and also try and get the word out to the people of atl that aren't in the import scene. I saw at least 5 tight ass rides in atlanta on sat night that should have been in it (two tone 745s, two tone 300, etc.)

Overall the show was decent. Very poor car turnout!!! Everybody who was worried about something happening to their car and stuff like that was wrong. I found the people at the show to be very respectfull of the cars. Overall I think it had the potential to be a good show, but I am just dissapointed in the turnout. We just had forum about supporting the scene, but alot of those same people weren't there with their cars. I understand about back to back weekends and money, but I don't see how people can get on here talking about needing to support the scene and then a BIG Show like DUB comes through Atlanta and nobody comes out to support it. This isnt just some mom and pop show, this is a big name with a big following, and people were to scared to enter their car. Just my 2 cents.

was Vida up there?? I gotta see some pics!!

on a side note, how was the lowrider turnout?? Our club Obsession were denied entrance yesterday at roll in, we had about 10 comp passes to show and a few that pre registered, but they looked at the cars we had (5 Impalas, 3 cadillacs and a olds) and said there was no more room yet they were admitting all sorts of DUB type cars and bullshit cars that didnt belong in there... I know there was a blue '64 from GA with 28's on it (bein sarcastic LOL) that got in, anything else? I ran into some fools from Long Beach that were ridin in a H2 with lambo doors (yawn) but they were towin some of the nicest choppers I have ever seen... towin 2 and driving one!! chrome everywhere...

anyways GET THE DAMN PICS UP ALREADY!!

the show was str8...im an easy guy to please. Not to many imports though nor was there to many cars that entered. I wish more people from atl would have entered thus making atl a favorable city for DUB to return to next year. oh well...The concerts were good, models looked good, and all the celebrity cars were nice as hell. That H2 sitting on the ground, the roll's royces, vida!, and the budweiser car with the bottles in the back...need i say more.

i thought the event was pretty lame.... it was like a waterdowned HIN... there was like 100 cars, 20% were HOT, 30% were stock on big wheels, 50% was crap... they had all of those big sponsors and a lame show, i personally thought it was really weak. no big name models or that many decent girls working the event, huge gaps of open space at the event, making it seem they were ready for 50,000+ people who didn't show up, beyond that the people putting on the event were assholes, they couldn't get back w/ us on event passes or promotions...

on the upside the crowd was cool, and pretty respectable even to the ladies we were with. kate got a couple of proposals while we were there

what i think was funny was they checked vendors for weapons before we entered the event to setup booths.... shit i wish i had a gun to put myself out of misery from the boredom.

No one descibed the show better. It looked more like the circus in the ghetto with rappers more than a car show. The key to this show is what Paul said here

"beyond that the people putting on the event were assholes, they couldn't get back w/ us on event passes or promotions..."

I know DUB will make a return but bleh.

bahhhh that should be the slogan for next year

i think alot of it had to do w/ them pushing for a black/hispanic crowd and not thinking of marketing to the crackers

i have been searched at HIN events for weapons so that is not just a DUB thing but something the convention center does. I bet at HIN this weekend they ask the same exact questions.

YA I HEARD IT WAS GOING TO BE LIKE THIS AT HIN...

    - has your car been in your possession at all times?
    - has anyone approached you to carry something for them?
    - do you have any weapons or contraband on you?
    - please turn around and drop you pants for a cavity search !!!

Well keep in mind guys. With the high profile people walking around, they are gonna search. Trillville and the ying yang twins walked right by me at the to the point I could reach out and touch them. Rappers wer ejust wlaking around the show everywhere. DUB had hired out side security and body guards to walk the premises and be there for the rappers and of course they are gonna search everybody with those kinds of high profile people in the building.

Side note, I got searched with a metal detector and car searched at HIN before also. Saftey issue, I don't see anything wrong with it. If anything, it makes you feel safer that they are taking the extra time to check.
