ohh boy, I'll go ahead and alert fire & rescue and have the LifeFlight warmed up...and don't mind the long row of rollbacks at the bottom of the hill, they're just there waiting for cleanup*puts flame suit on*

I honestly love driving through the mountains...havent done it in a long time! But there are a few roads, that I know that some of the guys on here, might end up down a clliff! LOL
Hwy. 180 is worst for suprise curves but the loose gravel on Richard B. Russell (Hwy. 348) can get you too...other than that there's not much to be worried about except just keeping it between the lines...or at least the ditches

honestly, i've seen some miatas HANDLE some curves! it all depends on the setup AND driver ability... but hey everyone can go out and have somefun... just dont go balls to the wall like some of us do

just thought i would throw this out there. this was a guy i knew. his was completely setup and he is a good driver. this just goes to show you how dangerous the mountains are.

I am sure they may do a mountain "cruise", but outside of Tracy and JadieM, who is REALLY competent enough (ladies) and has a car that is dialed in enough for a REAL mountain run on IA? Funny how when possibly the most competent female driver on the boards pipes us, that no1 has anthing to say. JadieM is basically BEGGING for input/information.

i enjoy driving, i enjoy my miata, i enjoy challenges, i enjoy twisties, and i enjoy learning my cars boundaries and pushing my limits... im not dumb or cocky but for once id like to meet more new generation females who can actually drive and know what the hell theyre doing when it comes to things like this. -- i have some experience and learned in a control enviro as well as an open uncontrolled enviro.

i just moved here to GA so i really wouldnt mind where som eof these things are... ir eally didnt know GA had such mountains. im from VA so there was plenty of crazy stuff even inside the city off the james river ;o)

I believe I can drive the in the Mtns just fine...I grew up there...learned how to drive in the mtns....but seriously I would love to do this...Just one sat or sunday coming up! Would be great......
