KMS Drifting Championship Series Judging Guidelines

    1. KMS Drift Championship Guidelines

KMS Drift events are judged, driving skill contest held on courses that emphasize car handling and agility rather than speed or power. Drifting is a form enabled by the talent of the drivers to control a vehicle through corners at speeds and angles that exceed the vehicle's ability to adhere to the roadway. Drifting, entrants are judged and awarded points based on their car control ability. Car control is defined as demonstrating techniques that carry speed while holding a high slip angle and maintaining the proper racing line through a prescribed course. Judging is also based on the capability of each car and how well the driver is able to use its full capabilities.

Events generally are held on a paved, flat surface, wherein the course typically consists of straight sections and connecting turns or corners. The course layout should be such as to emphasize car handling, driver skill, and maneuverability rather than performance. The course is generally well enough defined so that memory is not required to remain on course. Where course conditions permit tandem runs will be allowed by KMS Drift.

At the start of the competition, all entrants compete in solo runs that are judged and awarded points based on car control. After all solo runs are completed, the top 16 entrants will compete in solo runs. The top eight competitors will then compete in tandem runs. From there, the semi-final four will be chosen; then the final two, and then an overall winner.

This is the Texture of the pavement.

$20 seems alot to get into a meet. I don't even think IA was that much.

I understand your point, but we are not IA. or IFO or any of those meanwhile we are still $5 cheaper then IFO, There is alot more going on at our event, Some liken it to Nopi. But we are trying to keep the spectators entertained to where they will stay all day rather then walk around view some cars and leave.

Every event is covered and talked about in PASmag. We are in all 10 issues.

Where do you park for the car meet vs the car show?

As far as this location goes, it will probably be pretty close if not side by side but have the "show" portion taped off or separated to prevent confusion for the judges judging categories, But also allows the spectators to have a shorter walking distance to view all cars. I will refer with Steve and give you a 100% confirmed answer tomorrow!

If you have any other questions Feel free to call me @ 386 438 9012. I am almost always around my phone.
