^^^^Complete truth. I personally would like to have something set up for Saturday nights mainly due to the likely hood of a better turn out. Late sundays wouldn't work for me cause I have to be up at 6am mondays. But more people are cool with Saturday evenings/night. Just before the sun goes down. Only thing is that the place has to be willing to back up the meet. Cause if we get harassed by the cops people wont show up. What I always did was scout a couple places, ask them if they are cool with 20-30 people (over shooting of course) showing up and eating and chilling. Most of them will say that they don't have a problem. But they area has to be picked VERY carefully. Some local police officers just don't play that at all. Riverdale being one of them. Stockbridge area is cool. But import meets have a bad rap over there also. I'd like something like this to be more on the southside but more people tend to show up when it's closer to the city. Every single meet I host at the varsity has at least 5-10 cars show up. So at least 5-10 people. Trust me I'm only trying to help this get started, I'm by no means try to knock anyones ideas. I'm just sharing my experiences from over the years so we can collectively come up with a GOOD, holesome meet that everyone would enjoy. Keep in mind the main factors when deciding the location. Food, lighting, cop activity, restaurant participation. Feel free to pm me with any questions regarding this. I'd be glad to help in any way.

We could always try Steak and Shake again. Somewhere with food seems to be the general consensus when planning a meet. We do love our food.

We can get a meet going in griffin. Most cops like all the Hondas I've had. Theyve never harassed me and there's a couple good spots that wouldn't mind the business. Let's get it going. Saturday's are good for me

No can do. That is were they had a REALLY large bust a couple of years back. We used to meet there on Saturday nights but it got too big. And of course when it gets too big it attracts idiots then cops.... good idea for area though. Lets stick with the city of Stockbridge and go from there on the actual location.
I totally agree. Spending half a tank of gas just to go chill in a parking lot isn't too logical to me lol.
Don't be bias. It needs to be somewhat neutral area for all in order to attract a decent (yet respectful) crowd.
Yes he does but, in actuality it is a bit far for most. I've personally been harassed by griffin PD on numerous occasions. I'm not against driving that far but as I told BACON, we have to take others driving distances into concern in order to have a decent sized meet.

Eagles landing walmart area sounds like a great place. The dollar tree parking lot never has that many people in it past 7.

It's not me being bias towards home but more so taking into consideration that there may be people from other areas that may want to come down. Just as it's pricey to drive up to Gwinnett for their meet, it would be the same for them to come down. The Jonesboro/Mt. Zion/Morrow area has been a conservative neutral location for years now. Also taking into consideration that many of us can put down some food with the best of them, a location involving a restaurant would potentially be more suitable. That way we can give them the business and they would be more inclined to let us use some of the parking lot.
Some of the locations would be Waffle House, Steak and Shake, the Wendys in Morrow has a decent parking lot next to it.

I'm going to be honest and say I have no interest in spending time in Morrow after 9. Mellow Mushroom, Arby's, Zaxby's, American Deli, Some BBQ place, and Blimpie are all places to eat.

I would be down for the stockbridge, morrow, mt zion area. Steak and shake would be good since it is 24/7, but would need a new location if a lot of people come due to the size of the lot. The Wendy's on 54/Battle Creek does have a huge lot behind it that would be good, but can't remember what the lighting is like over there.

I wouldn't eat Mellow Mushroom if it was the last pizza restaurant in the world. It's right up there on a level of nasty shit as California Pizza or whatever that place is called.

Waffle House at hwy 138 and 85. Most of us eat waffle house and there is a decent sized parking lot next to it. Just an idea.
If we were to do that then we might as well go back to the old publix lot. I don't think the cops would be confused by moving the meet 1000 feet away.
