I had fun. Didn't run this time but I should be out in the fall.

I think that was the most people I've seen at import showdown since I started going like 5 years ago. Congrats on a good event to everyone involved!

I had a lot of fun this year. Good to see some old faces and meet some new ones. I can't wait for the next one. Maybe I'll be ready by then.

Thanks Stretch. Along with a friend, we finally figured out the breakup issue going into the final round in my tune. Now I can finally fucking use more power. Such a relief to have that behind me!

Thanks to JJSpec for sponsoring the Modified Street Class!

Had a great time at the Showdown this weekend.. Huge crowds and fast competition the whole time we were there.. This event has got to be the best import racing event in the south east.. no bullshit car show, drift competition, midget wrestling at this race just racing.. My thanks goes out to all of the sponsors and organizers for putting in the hard work and time to make this race happen..

I want to thank Charles Warren, Main Stream Performance, and Larry Smith Machine Shop for the speedy and quality services they provided for me prior to this event. I assembled the fresh engine on friday.... Installed everything on Saturday and raced on Sunday. There's your break in period bitches. Most don't know that the outside of my block spontaneously cracked externally over the winter(dry block)... I discovered it 4 weeks ago and Golden Eagle stepped up and took care if it with quickness and I was able to get it back together.

I had a blast! True, that CRX was bad as hell but glad I finally got to see PT and his brother run the ole civic. Him and Mike were neck to neck time wise.

I'm glad everybody had a good time. I had a great time despite not having my car there. But it will be ready very soon.

Also, I want everyone to know that from this race forward, we will continue to have the "Pro All Motor class". We will get the website updated soon with all the exact rules but I'm pretty sure it will be very similar to the Showdown rules minus the power-adders. I'm glad this has finally come to fruition. Its been such a challenge to try and make one single all motor class fair. There's been enough demand to support both classes, so now you got it!

Remember, July 30th...Import Showdown has it's first race in Montgomery, AL !! it's already on their website schedule

Best run 12.7 . I was waiting to launch the car when I had to trying not to break axles like last spring . First reason to launch was aginst the crx no reason then no way I'm out running him he is screaming . I did launch on the buy run to make sure my 60' foot times were there and see what I had but I missed third and run a 12.9 . I was hoping to run mosley but even then i would have had to tree him . Judging by my 60' times 12.4 is all I could have pulled off even launching the car so still would have got my shit glowed lol. I cut a .032 light on the crux and blowed the slicks up . Basicaly we make to much power for 22 inch slicks and have to shitty of gearing for 24 so I'll just finish my build .

Just wanted to know who liked the shirts al worked hard on them . Also he worked all night on th NYC guys shirts and for that wasn't able to finish putting the bumpers back on the evo that we painted the week before. So he didn't even get to race do to getting mine and the NYC shirts ready . He also has a rx7 with a 2jz in it that we will be finishing up this summer . I hope everybody is ready to race let's get this back like it used to be. Again if anybody needs shirts I will hook you up.

One more thing I just wanted to mention I'm a really laid back guy and if I made myself look like a ass by showing my ass I apologize especially to mike ( 8 second eclipse) . I just felt responsible for the all motor guys showing up with slicks on so wanted to do my best by trying to make things right . Mike handled things as good as he could and earned my respect. if you need anything man let me know I'll help out anyway I can with the event and again thanks. I wasn't mad because I want to win . I know I was out matched as soon as I got there . I just wanted to show everybody what the all motor class is all about and that wasn't going to happen running in a turbo class. Everybody would have swore the crx was spraying or boosted now they know it's just nasty.

Just want to make sure I didn't look like I was making excuses because the Alabama coupe ,mostly, and crx was faster Saturday period nothing I could do so no reason to take a chance breaking the car my dad drives every day. I hope the all motor guys keep coming to this event and by showing what a all motor car is capable of more people will be willing to get in the all motor scene.

time for you NA boys to pack a lunch the legenary "white" crx that was running 11's 3 years ago and winning every local event around here is back in blue. That car was running CONSISTENT 11.6's with less power 3 years ago now it has more power best bet to see them times lowered in the next upcoming events that was one of his first times out on the new setup and he was spinning bad!!!

all motor should have had slicks, end of story. Making the 2 classes was great, but i dont see that counts staying consistently high enough for 2 classes, but they could if it continues like this past weekend. What a great damn event!

Thanks for all the compliments on my car guys! The car has been down for damn near 2 years and it was great getting back in the seat again. My dad and I busted our asses and got the car back together 2 weeks ago only to have problems with eCtune licensing and had to switch to Neptune, that along with a ripped cam seal the day before the race and other bugs made it look like I wasn't going to make it. But luckily everything worked out for me.
I need more seat time dialing in the launch on the new setup for sure as it was spinning pretty bad no matter what we tried. Best pass of the day was an 11.67
oh yeah and I need to get it more than just street tuned.
I was prepared to run the all motor class with my drag radials but brought my slicks just in case. I'm glad they decided to make an All Motor Pro class for us and I think I told everyone there how grateful I was. It just sucks about the low payout and no trophy.
BTW this was my 3rd Import Showdown All Motor win.

The class was made on the spot the day of the event. So, there was no time to get a trophy made and the payout wasnt budgeted for. But dont worry, there will be a larger payout, trophie, & the large check for this class going forward. Come get you some in montgomery!

i had a great time out there. it sucks that i didnt get to run with all the power. Disco monkey, congrats youre car is amazing! I didnt know you were on Neptune. How it is doing for you? I know i lost a solid 25whp switching from Hondata to Neptune. We're going to get it back on the dyno and see if we can squeak some power out before IFO in a couple weeks.

It's hard to say exactly how Neptune is doing. The car ran almost the same times as before.
I have bigger cams than before, but it was hotter and the track prep wasn't as good as when I ran 11.61 at SGMP.
Plus the car was busting up a little around 8500-9000 so I was shifting a little earlier too. I had a hard time getting direct serial datalogging working all day and when it finally worked my laptop died.
