Default Friday night drags, July 16th.

I just wanted to invite everyone to come out and race at Friday night drags at Atlanta motor speedway on the 16th. Trying to get more people in the tuner class to come out. I'll be racing for the first time in my GSR and a few of my buddies will be bringing other stuff out. Doesnt matter what you drive or if your car is slow like mine, Its just fun to drive.

$20 to race, practice starts at 6 and eliminations start at 9:15ish.

Yep, believe he is the one that accused me of spraying and the track officials had me pop my hood and trunk on the track and searched my car to show them I was all motor

No one was going to wait another 2 hours for them to start drying the track. Also, your ticket stub is valid to get you in next week for free.

yeah, i wasnt about to hang around for it to dry up. even after it stops raining they are going to spend about an hours drying it. I just want to watch the super pro's and tuners. tuners usually dont run untill 11ish as it it.

Well that's what your opinion and i guess your entitled to it, maybe your right maybe 300 out of 1000 people would have rather-ed gone home than to wait. I know when i left there was a garage full of people a tunnel full of people and a group of people under the grand stand that was willing to wait. Even after the cops came by and said show is canceled show is canceled go home i stayed a good 10 to 15 minutes after the cop came by 2x and told us to go home no one budged. Frankly it made no difference to me if we got out of there at 1 or 5 after all last time i had a curfew was over 10 yrs ago and i ain't 60 no bingo in the morning and rain is just a little water. Plus i was having a pretty good time checking out the cars and talking to their owners about whats under they hood ect .. i mean after all ain't that sort of the whole point of it i feel like Friday night drags is kind of short any how but i'm not complaining

Dude, I feel ya on wanting to hang out, but you're not talking a friday night drag at that point, you're talking a situation like Thursday night at the Varsity, a meet. Ya want to talk to owners about what's under the hood? cool, I like to too. I don't have to do it at a racetrack. You know if you see a hot car at the wal-mart parking not (from across the street, no one here would shop at a wal-mart, lol) you're going to go talk to the guy about it. That's part of our culture, a go anywhere do anything attitude that keeps us open to cool, new experiences. We don't need a drag strip night to talk cars, all we need is cars.
