maybe some1 can answer this for me..... i have a buble with a empty dash meaning nuthin behind it, steering wheel and 1 seat, and a 6 point cage, then evrything else is gone...cut doors with lexan no interior at all..and no tags aka no plates now what class am i able to compete in
Team Jdm Junkyz
yep
11.7@116- All motor H2B Integra
that's how it goes. A gutted out lexan race car would be unfair in an all motor street class. Perhaps we could start doing a All Motor race class in the future if there's enough interest.
look at it this way..you'll probably have the most reliable car in the class. A lot of us break...you could still win.
no, people just need to either decide if they want a random test n tune car, or a car that fits into classes representative of MAJORITY of the racers out there. Not being an ass, just speaking REAL.

for Modified Street you still have to have the front half of your interior. gutted behind the dash is ok, but carpet and door panels will be required. Ultimately its up to the tech inspector though.
cool one way or another ill be out there

I'll be heading up there sunday morning. I'll bring the video camera with me since i won't be racing and i can get a shot of your car with the laundry open.
Who me? Sweet. I've been trying to get a shot of that but my girlfriend "bless her heart" has yet to capture it. My run last Sunday you see it fall out the pack but then she shuts the camera off before it opens up. I was like....damn it women!
Of course, if you're not talking to me...well then I just feel stupid.
Hey at least you asked! Some people wont read the rules and then get pissed off when we tell them what class they can and cant compete in. We simply can't please everyone and the rules we have are generally ment to blanked a wide range of racers and cars. We of course are always open to class suggestions and have made new classes and changed rules on a Showdown to Showdown basis at times to reflect these good suggestions. :-)
No totaled civics allowed in M/S (this has nothing to do with the guy from jersey)

Ill be there in the all motor street class just wondering if we can run slicks this year or still only drag radials so ill know what to bring . Im sure everbody would prefer slicks i just hate going to the track and running drag radials but whatever yaw prefer is fine. I also beleive i have two sets of slicks at the shop joey so dont cop out of running with the big boys cause you dont have slicks sir.
252plus hp and 34.5 miles to the gallon all motor. 12.2 at 111
drag radials. no slicks allowed in All Motor.
Sounds like we may have to look at doing a ALL MOTOR race class next season.
I dont see what the big deal with slicks in all motor class is. IFO has been doing it for years and its never been a problem.

it's cool man....i've been going to IS for as long as I can remember, sometimes in "imports" and other times not...ya'll just discriminating against us a v8 guys, lol, my cars imported my motors not, but focus' cobalts, cavaliers, srt4's, etc are allowed to run
of course if you were to run the races off of vin #'s it would disqualify about 95% of the honda guys anyway
im putting the All motor with slicks question in front of the other event crew members. I proposed it be similar to IFO, where slicks are allowed for FWD only. Lexan would still not be allowed if we keep it as one class. If we end up splitting the class to a pro and street class, lexan might be allowed in the PRO class. However, its too late to add another class, so that would only be an option for future events.
lol it should technically be called Sport Compact Show Down and IFO should really be called Sport Compact Face-Off

MAINSTREAM PERFORMANCE
Things are going to stay as they are for this race. The AM class was not intented to be a high competitive class. We may do some changes for the Fall race, but its to close to the date to make changes now. It's not really fair to the guys that have been planning against the current rules to change them at the last minute.
only one week !

The weather is only 30% chance and looks like it will push back to the following monday. If I had Admin privelages, I would delete your post. The first rule of Showdown is: YOU DO NOT TALK ABOUT RAIN AT SHOWDOWN.
