So can anyone explain to me what happened? One minute the meet is cancled and has to be relocated and the next the meet is still goin down at the same place?
*EDIT: I just read the post explaining the whole canceling thing was a joke.*

The Varsity Meet is the largest phenomenon in event history. You can't call off something that isn't even organized to begin with. The Varsity meet is like the full moon, someone can say they canceled it but the truth remains rain or shine, sleet or snow, it's going to happen as long as the 61 block of North Ave. is not a vat of smoldering hot lava...even then people will still drive their cars into it. They won't be able to stop themselves. There could be a shooting (knock on wood) and people would still show up the next month. A helicopter could crash in the middle of the parking lot and people of all colors from all over Atlanta will still park around it.

It's fact of life...or as the media would say, it's an organized street racing gathering where everyone drinks and does drugs and plots against the government.

Lulz.. You can not shut down a V meet. It's been attempted many times by ATL pd, and the only successful attempt was around midnight years ago.
