the 15 sec Epic Battle @ SDR

When - May 9
Where - Silver Dollar Raceway
Who - Anyone who likes to race
What - 15 second HEADS UP race presented by JJSPEC Racing and Silver Dollar Raceway. If you run any quicker than 15.00 seconds you will be eliminated.
How much - Buy a tech card which is $25 (including entry fee to the track).

Payout info:
Ed at SDR has said that he will take the $15 out of the tech card/entry fee and pay it back as the purse. The winner will get 50% of the purse, runner up gets 30% and semi's (3rd and 4th place) get 10% each

Time runs start at 2 pm for you to dial in your combo. Racing starts at 3pm and will have to be wrapped up on time. This is a great opportunity for you weekend warriors to work on reaction times and get some passes in and possibly win some money racing! Tell your friends, bring your cars and lets have fun. Make sure that you have a battery hold down, all your lug nuts, etc.

Yes. Its basically running on a Index. Who ever gets to the finish line within 15 sec's wins. So if you run a 14.9 or quicker your out of the competition. It does not matter if your car is slow, you may never know who will break out, red light or break. If that does happen, your in the next round.

You will be able to do test runs before the actual competition starts. There is a fair amount of rivalries on other forums between people. So they are taking advantage of the test runs to race against each other.

There is no need to sign up, just show up at Silver Dollar at the day of the race. Pay your entrance fee and your in!

But you must also cross the line before your opponent. It will be an incredible test of sandbagging abilities for some, and a test of consistency for others.

Bossman is building his car to ensure my defeat, but not necessarily for this race.

I can't even consider myself a contender because I have so little seat time in this car at SDR, not to mention I haven't driven it since last year. I'm gonna be out there 2 weeks in advance just trying to figure out what all I'm gonna have to do to remain 'competitive.'

I think it's an awesome idea, I think 1/4 mile racing is kinda dumb, but I do like beating on my car every now and then so this is a perfect time to run equally matched cars
