bad news guys. I'm more than likely not gonna make it down there. I thought it was a tranny mount I broke, but when I got the car in the air this morning I realized the trans mount was fine, so I started looking at the motor mounts and turns out it's the drivers side motor mount that's the culprit. So now I'm debating on if I want the extra nvh and response of solid mounts or go with poly. Either way they have to be ordered and I highly doubt I'll have them on the car in time.this sucks... I haven't gotten any times for this car in over a year! Oh well, later in the season I guess.

i'm not paying $150 from the dealership. i called my local shop and they said the closest one was in detroit. or at least thats where THEY were gonna order them from. anywhoo, i've ordered my solid motor mounts so if they get put in in time, i'll be down there. if not, oh well.

Yeah, I think it would be better to go down 75, just because it wouldn't split everyone up. The other way I usually go, goes through a couple of very small towns. Probably be better not to have everyone trying to stay together going through those.

but going thru those small towns usually cuts about 30 minutes off the travel time.
Going down 75 is an estimated 5 miles longer, but 15 minutes shorter.
Just looked up both routes. Either way though, doesn't matter to me.

my GPS says to do this:
take 75S to exit 187 Ga-83 to Forsyth/Monticello.
Turn on US 341
Keep left on Hwy 128
Talbot St to Marion St to Racetrack Rd
Which is the way I was talking about going 75 from Vendetta's I believe. Exit 96 or something like that? (forgot which number exactly)

You could just ride out to 19-41(turns into 341) and take that all the way to roberta and get on 128. Then no worrying about people missing the exit or getting stuck at the square traffic in forsyth. And if you do get off the forsyth exit it would be easier to take HWY 42 than HWY 83, 83 meets 341 about 10 miles north of 42.

The minimum equipment list for the Z states that a camera is required to be on board at all times when - a.) operating in the vicinity of other performance vehicles - a,ii.) an engagement with at least one of those vehicles is likely to occur, or b.) when the route of travel is believed to be conducive to the engagement of performance vehicles. Proper video documentation of such engagements is vital for an effective mission debrief.
Engagements, vehicles, Wilford Brimley, Liberty Medical, diabeetus - think about it.

Talked to several people and 75 would be the best route for all of us in this area or the people who are meeting here from other places. Less turns, less confusion, etc.

Our season begins this coming Saturday with tuning and testing from 1:00 to 5:00 PM. The gate will open at noon. Admission is $10 and tuning and testing is $20 for car and driver.
