I've tried to pay for parking there but you can't supposedly the thing is broken just so they can ram you on the parking boot.

just buy something from the v and then stick the receipt on your windshield thats what the cops told us to do if we were in the v parking lot but if not then i guess you will have to pay the parking fee

That only works for the lot from the little wall to the V.
