if the dp goes under the car is that fine? im confused because of this statement: Pipes that exit behind the front wheels and away from the vehicle or electronic cut outs are allowed.

if ecut out is allowed, couldnt we run open downpipe?

If the downpipe is long enough to pass the front wheels and is directed away from the motor horizontally we are going to allow it. What we are trying to avoid is just an open dump straight out of the manifold or turbo (depending on yoursetup).

Hope that helps clear it up. If you have an open DP and it runs away from the engine and runs horizontally you will be fine. Wastegate dumps are exempted.
